At last! The spell sequence and the explosion are fabulous! I find the apprentice a bit too arrogant for an ...well.. apprentice!! You managed to created an excellent page layout, all the frames are great! Very inspired details, like the eyes in the Background (at the spell) and the slanted divisions of the last frame (explosion).

Silly apprentice looks a bit too confident - revenge for the devil-blooded! LOL! Amazing artwork - finally we start to see some serious action - i'm still waiting for the LOTR-style battles, however! ;) Love the frame with the spellcasting sequence - very well assembled!! And now onward to page 4!!

I've never seen your work before but being a big fan of comic books, I must say this is pretty impressive, most comic stuff I've seen done with poser is alright, but it's usually the post work that kills it, but you've done a great job, keep up the good work!

Super-cool, stylish graphics. Strong story opening. Fine sense of storytelling. If there's any way you can talk yourself into continuing this, DO IT!!! If I might offer a few small suggestions... You might want to try adding speech bubbles to your images FIRST, and then compose the pic in the "safe space" left over..? I'd also try leaving just a bit more white around the text in the bubbles, and perhaps "jumble" (offset) the letters in the sound FX. All of'em are relatively easy to do, and they tend to add a lot to the overall look of a page.

You are obviously a comic fan, as you have adapted some of the best comic conventions brilliantly! Have you ever read Will Eisners "Comics and Sequential Art?" A bible for those serious about creating comics! Not that you need any help, your doing awesome work here, just thought it was worth mentioning! The Second and third sets of panels are particularly well executed!!!
