Description
Here is the third shot from the Arch in Minden, NE. This depicts a likely scene from the Oregon Trail. Wagons would break or get stuck and often the women (and children if they were old enough) would have to help to get the wagon moving again. Many were fearful of the journey due the dangers that would be faced in the unknown wilderness and the possible attacks from indians.
