Description

Oil on Canvas 1200mm x 900mm ( 48in x 36in ) This is my latest painting, it has taken 10 days and I am rather happy with it. It is my partner's,( Sharon the Oracle )daughter Amy and she is just getting to the age when she is testing her wings. She is actually laying on her side posing for this and I painted her hand in a seperate pose. I used the textured paint efect and the startled birds to simulate that hurried, kaotic, exciting time of life and her exuberants to experiance it all.

A beautiful image, Like the way the hair is swirled into the background. She's an aggresive lass. Cliff.

Well, this is indeed one for the surrealism books. Wonderful blending of the hair and tunnel walls, it is nearly seamless. It reminds me of a Munch, the Scream in particular (my favorite work), but that could be just because it is an oil-on-canvas work. (I'm not that up on that kind of thing). Very cool stuff nonetheless.
