Description

UF3 & PS I started this the day before I had to evacuate for hurricane Katrina. Thanks to all who were concerned for my safety during the storm. I am truly touched by your feelings and thoughts. It has been, and continues to be a life altering experience for me and for hundreds of thousands of others. I am still overwhelmed by the scope of it, and wonder if New Orleans will ever fully recover. If you haven't done so, please consider making a donation to the Red Cross or other charity. So many have lost everything, including their jobs. It is a horrible situation. Thank you again for all your thoughts and prayers.

There are so many words that come to mind when I look at your lovely picture : heavenly , regal , peaceful , serene etc ................ it is also poignant , evocative and reminds one of how things were before Katrina devasted the region.

Welcome back, with this absolutely gorgeous work. It's one of the great attributes of the human spirit to rebound from catastrophe. This lovely piece is a wonderful example. Best wishes to you and your neighbors.

Joe, I'm so glad you made it through the storm in one piece, and are all right! You're correct--this situation is almost unthinkable, yet here it is in front of all of us. I thank the Lord you made it through, and am glad you're still able to do such beautiful art. This piece is just wonderful, and it's going into my favorites list. And if you need anything, just let us know!

Let me echo Marion: Welcome back indeed! We rejoice in the safety of you and yours, and in the obvious fact of your undiminished abilities: This is a gloriously gorgeous spiral, another in the dazzling repertoire of a master spiralist!

I've read the concerns about you in the forum. As anybody here I'm glad to see you have survived the catastrophy. At the same time I'm sad about the aftermath of it. Welcome back, and good luck for the future!

Joey, I am so happy to see you are still with us! I think many of us prayed for those of you who lived there! I know what it is to have to start all over again. It can be very hard. The one thing I can say that hopefully will help you through this devastation is something most of us learn throughout our lives. "Things can be replaced, people can't" We sometimes get so caught up with 'things' that we lose sight of what truly has value. And when something that ravages us, like Katrina did, we suddenly have soul-sized problems. We see with a clarity and a focus that can be life changing! Many blessings man! Leanndra
