Description

Oil on Canvas 900mm x 600mm ( 36in x 24in ) I love trees, they are so diverse and adaptable, I can draw their shapes endlesley, Sydney is full of Figs which grow huge with large buttress root systems and at night masses of bats feed on the fruit. I've always wanted to be inside a tree to see what it has seen and know what it thinks, mabye when I die one will draw me .... up into it. The door is simbolic in that it's not to walk in, it's for the mind to enter, hence the name which when shortened becomes Ent. a coincidence I'm not unhappy with.

This is soo enchanting.. it really draws one in. I'd soo like to be climbing those steps and entering that door; and yes.. Sydney has some amazing fig trees! :-)) Is an amazing tree down in Victoria too.. cant remember where exactly or what it was called.. but its was all carved with faeries and (i think) gumnut babies and similar.. my grandparents used to take me to go and see it as a child :-))))))

This is breathtakingly beautiful! I could look at it the whole day. I love trees a lot, too but I'm not very able of drawing them. But you did a wonderful, outstanding job! The ligt and colors are so lifelike and magical at the same time! The tree is overwhelming - huge and strong as it is. B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.! bows
