Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us. Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!

Really nice composition. Maybe the river kept flooding there?

I wonder where the bridge went? :) A delicate, harmonious image. Yeah!

Excellent work -- and a bit different from the last few submissions... Perhaps the project was never completed. One of the saddest things I've seen was a half-completed church, the congregation having run out of energy and money before it was finished. Often our dreams are never realized, and perhaps this bridge is one of those hopes that never led to the other side of the stream.

Wonderful composition and Image.

Great pic and POV..looks like it could be a hazard for boat traffic if there is any boats on that river. It was probably easier to build a new bridge than redo the old one. Interesting shot Jodie.

Harmony disturbed from a missing bridge... somehow irritating, but a document of an important thing, that nobody needs anymore... all this in a very romantic landscape... (I would have added a bit more color saturation...)

The composition on this is very nice - you presented the subject so beautifully. I have to agree with the others...it was probably a case of being tried by it's piers!

I love this shot Jodie ... great pov.

If they built the new one while the older bridge was still in use, they couldn't very well do it in the same place... Beautiful capture!

The old bridge was probably rotted and dangerous so they simply built a new one and destroyed the old one for safety reasons.Regardless,I really like the compo here. The texture is so soft and lovely and the color simply beautiful.Great work Jodie.-M :)
