I am alone
now and always
perhaps as I was forever
meant to be
there are many whom I love who love me in return and who are always here for me but I am still alone
with this poison in my head and these shadows in my heart I realize there is more to heal than I ever suspected was hurt
with or without a partner without my parents with my child I am alone
there is an inner piece of myself that I cannot seem to touch to put in its rightful place
instead, I wallow in my pain trying to make myself so sick of it that I have no other choice but to expel it
yet this fearful heart trembles wishing to shy away from my own scrutiny

Sometimes we need to walk swiftly into life as others we need to allow life come unto usas we walk at a slow and steady pace. This is for all of us to choose individually, youll find your step In the meantime, know alone we may feel we walk, yet never alone are we.

Miss Cara Mae - I've learned, over a hard '54' years, that there is a difference between being 'alone' and 'being lonely'. I think when we learn 'alone' is OK, we can move on? But, I also thought once that the tooth fairy was real - but 'cheap'. WINK. HUGS. T.P.
