My attempt at Chii from Chobits. I used AnimeDoll, some of the hair that she came with (deformed with magnets and built-in morphs), rwaller's Only Person dress, and persocom ears from freestuff. I made the hair spools with UVMapper and Poser mags. Everything was z-scaled to 50% using snowsultan's z-toon method because it just looked better that way. The hair was casting strange, discolored shadows in Poser because of the extremity of the morphs, so I rendered in Bryce. (Miss that polygon smoothing, though, and not too familiar with Bryce lighting.) Quite a bit of postwork in Photoshop to get the bottom of the hair the right shape, for the eyes, and of course, composition.
