A.K.A. S***-eating Grin Dog A.K.A. Rocko, Stop That! Answers to Rocko Inspiration for name: Trailer Park Boys - J-Rock ( Canadians understand this - the worst/best trash on TV - funny as hell - do NOT let your kids watch it ) I want to be clear here. I DID NOT NAME HIM. If ever there was a dog that has ADHD, this is it. He has eaten his way through doors, torn garage windows and screens out, gone on litter box raids for dog fudge ( yes, I know, yuk ), persistently jumped on the counter in the garage so he could launch himself through the now missing window and bounce around on the canopy of the swing until he broke it, and jumped right up on the kitchen counter to get into the top cupboards. The only way to Rocko-proof the house is to put him in a kennel in the middle of a room with nothing in reach. He has been one of the most challenging starys so far, certainly the one that required the most one-on-one work. I got him at 8 months as a lost dog. He had been dragging a leash around for about 2 weeks because his former owners abandoned him. And then he picked me, jumped my front fence and camped out on my front doorstep for days until I caved in. It took me 3 years of intensive training, but he has become a lovely pet. His only remaining quirk is that he locks himself in the garage repeatedly and then hangs out the window. I stopped replacing the screens and glass because well, a dog needs at least one vice. His is garage door closing and window-hanging. He is also the sweetest dog I've ever known. In case you're curious, I have never medicated him to calm him, but I do call him Ritalin Dog. LOL Thanks for looking. :)

What loving, gentle eyes! But then again, this reminds me of a comment made by an old friend of mine, who was quoting her husband: "If you want a good photo of yourself, have it taken by someone who loves you."

Gorgeous dog! I know what you mean, our Border Collie mix (a stray that was rescued at the age of 10 mos.) is very hyper. He has gone through fencing, ripped out screen doors, and carved major crevices through our lawn by running so much. He's a sweetheart, and we wouldn't trade him for anything in the world, except perhaps a new fence ;o) .. He has never tried the window hanging trick YET! haha... excellent portrait!

I love dogs and I love animals. I had a German-shephard that died 3 years ago at age of 15. Dogs talk to you with their amazing eyes and understand you so well, and feel you so well when you are sad or happy. So called scientists said animals have reflexes but not inteligence...They are wrong! Try to take shots only with natural light. Your photo is nice but your dog eyes are more beautifull without the flash...

This is a nice production, a nice photo with a very nice story to go with it, this is what makes life worth living :) Anyhow, reading the story made me crack up a few times, seriously.. a launching dog, who'd imagined it possible? :D So yeah, highest grade, the reason? the photo itself is rather good, but could use some better lighting, however coupled with the story, it becomes something great and unique, so there :P
