My name is Joanna. I am a graphic artist by profession and a passionate photographer by avocation. I live on Long Island, not far from New York City in the United States. Other interests include gardening, listening to music (mostly Jazz, classical and blues), going to plays and reading. I enjoy traveling and spend many happy hours photographing alone or with friends.

Well, emailandthings, when I originally did the image, I was thinking about how the world changed drastically when looking through the windows. One of the versions I worked on had birds flying if you looked through the windows but a barren landscape in reality. Sort of "look what we had and what we're losing" kind of thing. It was sort of ironic that I called these images "Windows on the World" which is no longer there.
