Description

A few weeks ago I went hunting for dragonflies, spiders, and all manner of crawling, flying, hairy creatures. I found this spider - Araneus diadematus if anyone's interested - hanging on display, just waiting to be captured. I was setting up my tripod when a horse-fly started circling me, obviously keen on getting at my precious blood. I started flailing my arms, and lo and behold - the blodsucker got caught in the web, providing and easily packable dinner (and supper) for my good friend spidey:))

I usually say that the 'worms have to eat'! Apparently, so do spiders!
