Description

Vue 5 Infinite and Poser6 - Featuring Winnston1984's beautiful Starship "Phaeton". Earth by me, from 4 concentric Vue primitive spheres + satelite photos and Vue volumetric atmosphere. Made a space suit for V3 from amored combat suite and space helmet prop. Used 3 spotlights. Tried for the extra contrasty lighting of space. Thanks for viewing :o)

Great image! But you've confused me to no end...I thought Vue was a landscape generating program? Can you tell me a little more about this program. It seems it's just as good for rendering anything imported to it without using any of it's actual contents. :B eaver !

Thanks for the kind words. Vue 5i was built in cooperation with the Poser engineers to integrate Poser figures, including dynamic cloth and hair and animation. It includes a terrain generator, vegetation makers and a lot more tools that are excellent for landscapes. But of course its great render engine is useful for interiors or anything else your imagination can create. You'll see lots of Poser pinups and such in Vue as well. Not only the scacesuited V3, but also the Phaeton was imported from Poser6. Proved to be easier than working on this complex ship in my favorite 3D modeling program.

Nicely done. Tells a story, has a nice space feel to it. I do have a suggestion though. You have stars showing though the planet. You may want to take them out. Just trying to help. - Bob

Thanks Bob, but those are city lights and from an actual photo of the Earth - maybe i made them too bright though. If you look close, you'll see the upper ones outline the US.

A little update: The top modeling artist and Renderosity merchant (winnston1984), who created the starship and other great products, commented spontaneously in a private email that he thought the scaling was excellent for his model. I know him from previous 3D projects.
