Description

Taken from the top of Uluru, overlooking the Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). 1 1/2 hour hike with my camera gear, the climb was very tough and steep. Uluru: worlds largest monolith, 348m above the surrounding plains and 867m above sea level, 8km circumfrence and thought to be 600 million years old. Olgas: Tallest dome is 546m above the surrounding plains. Cover 30 square km. This was taken in the late afternoon, tobacoo filter. Thanks for viewing.

The depth and sense of scale is amazing. The tobacco filter fits perfect such as the lonely climbing person (you should make a photo with YOU there!!!). One of your very best photos imho, the mood is overhelming, as the contrast of the small human against the gigantic mountain in the background. v + fav
