Above you'll see one of the typical houses in Les Landes. They remind me of houses in some parts of Germany, which we call 'vakwerkhuizen'. I believe in Germany they call them 'Fachwerkh

Love that type of archictecture, in the Netherlands we can find them in Limburg, and also in parts of Belgium, France and Germany!
