Description

I'm not familary with the proper name for this creepy lil uggly fellow, but here in my region ,we call them "Spruce Bug" mostly found in spuce populated area,(has you might of guess)It's also a flying insect,"how convenient"that love to get into the sap wood of the spruce specie, devouring verything on there path, for then laid their eggs in the chore of the tree, for future generation!Eventualy enough of them will kill the tree! It's a bad bad boy! Forgive me if i don't always comment on you great work my RR friends, you know how it is!Not enough hours in the days ,so bare with me ok! Thanks for your great comments on my previous pict, and for looking at this one as well! Have a great week-end everyone! Don't let the bed bugs bite you!:)

I'm not an expert but it seems to be a "longhorn" (longicorne en Gaulois)... The same kind of guy that I shot in May... Cool macro, I like the angle of the shot!

Excellent Macro! Those bugs will leave a serious hurt on you if they bite. I'd rather be bitten by 10 hornets than one of those. Great photo.

Bugs that kill trees, quite a bugging thing! Better stop with planting forests with only spruce and add variety with other tree, that prevents from forests entirely broken down by a single bug! Excellent capture of this bug!
