Description
An idea that was proving very problematic, so having set up the shot and being unhappy with the result, I decided to apply globally a mirror type mat - and this is the result - not sure what to make of it - other than the render time was less that I feared (about 14h).
Well, at least it's an image.

Very nice. It's like a planet of glass.

Rob, dont give up on this concept.I think the glass like structures are an excellent touch. The planet "Jet" Im still working on is a terrain made from a water material similar in fact to what you have here. I am also working on a crystal farm for the planet...again similar to what you have here:) One thing Im stuck on at the mo is how to get a crystallic formation from the spires. I was looking into Dmys Hex Lattice plugin to shape accordingly. It may help you if you plan to carry on:) Great Image...keep at it :))

The cloud strata give this piece a great feeling of depth --- and it seems to be illuminated by light reflected by the planet's icy surface. Well done!

Actually with a border this would be a great Pandromeda presentaion image. Very revolutionary - I love it!
