Description
Deep within the darkest hollows of our minds lurk such terrible things. All sorts of fears and despairs and unspeakable horrors lie underneath our strong and civilized masks. We hide them well, some better than others, but we all have them. Each of us can name some one thing (at least) that just the thought of gives us chills. For many it is snakes, others high places, for some small spaces and for most it is the fear of death.
Me, I used to be truly aracniphobic (fear of spiders). Almost any spiders would do it, but those aggressive fuzzy ones really sent me into a panic. Even now I can't stand those kinds, but after learning a lot about spiders I overcame the panic that came from even spotting one across the room. As a young man, if I saw a spider of any kind, I had to hunt it down and "get rid of it" or I would not be able to sleep at all, even if it meant tearing the entire room apart. Now I can allow some of the "spindly" spiders to inhabit a corner of the garage and simply keep my distance or even watch as a small spider spins a web. Truly fascinating and once impossible for me to watch.

Oh George! I know what I fear tonight, life is a long winding path? We get on with it:-) Todddle here and yonder? For we have ter. Would not like to meet "bad bug" in the darkness on me way home to the Grove. hey? So far, I have not, life is full of such goodness. Methinks.
