Description

A little touch of the Autumn that is only beginning here in the northeastern part of New York. :-) I had some difficulty choosing whether to post this softer version or the sharp, more realistic original. Someone who means the world to me suggested that I think about how this place made me feel when I was standing here in this spot. It was truly a magical place; peaceful, and I sat on the rocks here for a long time just enjoying the calm reflections. It is a wonderful place for a picnic or for two people to sit and read poems quietly to each other. *sigh* So ... I've decided that this version best portrays the feelings that this place brought to my heart and soul. I hope you enjoy it and thank you so much for your kind comments on my Home Sweet Home-18. Yes I tend to agree that this painterly feel and softness is the right choice.It took me a minute to figure it out and this look really attaches nicely to the eye.Exc...Maggie!

Mags, this is exactly how I would have done it too. It has a certain calmness because your water is so smooth, so this version is stunning. It's positively painterly feeling... Excellent work....

Sooo beautiful and painterly Maggie.I love how soft this is and how you can just perceive the beginnings of Autumn.You did a wonderful job here and I have no doubt that you chose the right 'version'...I'm looking forward to your uploads over the next few weeks.You are supposed to get some really wonderful 'Fall Foliage'.Wish I could see it myself.Too bad Lake George is soooo far away!-M :)
