Description
Some of you really enjoyed that Weisshorn (4506 m, 14783 ft), so I thought let's post a more detailed shot of this impenetrable arctic world, the white roof of the Alps. Watching those mountains fills me with awe, enormous rocky formations that were here long before I was born and they shall be long after I will have passed. And according to science they still grow here at a very slow rate.

awesome capture, Jan-Carel!!!! i look at this and the others in your series and there is definitely a feeling of timelessness. the unspoiled magnificence of the mountains makes me feel so small...you know...kinda like a speck of dust. amazing how this place will always be here long after we've passed. you know if mountains are growing, doesn't that mean they're living? maybe not in the same sense in how we're living...but still...living nonetheless. thanks for another breathtaking capture, Jan-Carel!!!!!!
