Description
Mk. 82 General Purpose Bomb with a "Snakeye" tail section.
This is one of my earlier models that I've just got around to rendering properly. It's not completely correct - the mounting lugs especially are very wrong - but meh.
It's not textured because Rhino keeps crashing whenever I try.

I'll add also that the astute viewer will notice it has no fuse assembly. This is because none of my references showed one clearly enough that I felt confident in getting it correct.

those are retarding fins to slow the desent of the GPB.

Dont know much about bombs, but this is by far the best work i saw from you, even if untextured. I like it in every single detail.

12 years ago I built these for a living in the Air Force. The fuse assembly consists of a booster cup that fits inside the nose then the fuse would go inside the booster cup. the fuse would be one of a couple different kinds but usually on a air retarding fin assy it would be an forward arming vain that when released from the plane a lanyard would pull out and allow the vain to spin thus arming the fuse. fuse goes boom, then the booster cup goes boom then in-turn the tritonal inside the MK-82 goes KABOOM. The model look really close. keep it up.
