BIOI am a Florida native, I grew up in a Mayo, Florida on a tobacco, chicken and watermelon farm. I am 32 and currently enrolled at the University of South Florida, studying to become an Industrial Engineer. My great-great grandfather was one of the first photographers in Florida. I use a Canon 40D and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30. I enjoy nature photography and macro photography.

This photo "tugs at my heartstrings" because I saved a featherless tiny mockingbird about 12 years ago. He had such a deformed foot that I could never let him loose. He died a couple of years ago, living about 9 years. Very interesting family member...too skittish to be very tame once he(named Mimus) matured.Sang beautifully for a couple seasons per year. Thank you for reminding me of him!
