Description

I was cruising along the highway on my way to Red Deer to see my parents when I came upon this scene of canola against the brewing storm. I couldn't stop fast enough to take in the scene, the yellow was so bright and the sky so dark, it was amazing. The grain silos were the icing on the cake! Keith

A beautiful capture. I would suggest to put up a thumbnail. Something as beautiful as this should not be passed by. I'm glad I stopped to peek at your post. Aloha

I missed where you had to upload your own thumbnail! Thanks for your kind words, this scene really did take me by surprise. The sun was just behind me and lit up that field like - well - the sun!

Thanks again for all the great comments! Kimairehere - this is the flowering plant canola oil comes from. When the flowers die, the heads have seeds, they process the seeds in a large mill into the canola oil we see in the stores.
