On one level this relates to the third line of the 41st hexagram of the I Ching where "one man going forth alone will find company," and on another level the male character looks slightly like Dante.

Just took a peek at the site you mention, it is fabulous. Especially the shifting hues pictures, they are captivating! Glad to see digital art taken to another level, congratulations for designing such a wonderful site.
