Description

For this painting, I looked at a lot of images of Yosemite. Although this scene is no where to be found in the real Yosemite, I tried to combine elements from the different areas of the park to create a feel of this great place in an earlier time. Painted with Photoshop CS2, Painter, and a bit of Dogwaffle. This compressed version is a little less than 1/3 the original size.

Wowwww.. what a beautiful painting!!! I am so curious...you painted this entirely using digital programs like Photoshop?? What I am curious about is what size you make your picture on your screen when you begin? Your canvas I guess it would be called? I too love to paint digitally but use mostly Paint Shop Pro 9 as I don't have XP. I start with 500 x 500 though since most are just shown on computer screens but your's are large enough to make beautiful posters and I am wondering what size you start with. :-))) Exquisite work and a big VOTE!!!

A visual treat! The detail and imagination to do this - well, just awesome! The waterfalls look so much like a section of the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon - I'm sure you can find photos if you look. Congratulations on such superb art!
