Description

I'm new to Terragen (as you can probably tell). This was my third attempt at getting a smooth, more realistic edge between the land and the sea. It always looks fake to me but this one wasn't too bad.

Beautiful beginnings. A lovely pink tinge to the clouds and sky. Your' POV is perfect as is the surfacing (my firsts were horrid :) The only suggestion I would make or do myself is to change your gamma settings in TG. You can do that via the 'render' settings it's the second tab. Gamma default is 2 I usually use 1. :) Beautiful beginning...

Awesome water and lighting! That foamy look along the shoreline really adds to it also!

Beautiful view and a great terrain! Very nice lighting, and the water, including the foam, is realistic and lovely.

You're starting well - seeing as this appears to be coastal rather than a small lake, try adding sand layers (play with the max height settings of the layer(s), make the sand smooth - little bump and scale depth slider pushed to the right)
