Description

I'm a novice... can you tell? This my first try at Terragen. Does anyone like this?

Hi Sorcha, thanks for the comment on my work. Not bad for a first attempt.Great sky. I find that the default wave "roughness" and "size" in Terragen are out of proportion with each other. For large scale landscapes like this one I would turn the roughness down to around 5 and put the wave size up a few notches. Keep playing around with it and keep posting.

I agree with Justjon Sorsha about the waves. Depending on the image you have in "Your mind's eye" please yourself first of all. I'm no expert but I would probably cut the glow down some also. I like the sky! Just a little trial and error and Voila!

definately more adventurous than i was!!!...you have used the foam settings!!...at face value, i like the mood here...keep up the (hard)work!!!...:)ps if you increase the terrain point spacing in the terrain size/radius window, you will directly affect the scale of the water in your terrain, i.e: more metres per tg unit equals more(smaller) waves, also agree about the reflected glow....still great first try...hope to see more!!...:)
