Description
Terrain -Grand canyon from Timster.net
The for has created a banding effect on the foreground of the picture. Does anyone know how to get around this because It happens sometimes in the sky as well.

Superlatives needed here! The mist in the gorges are taking the prize!

Beautiful misty canyon.

Aye; fog banding is a pain - it's not easy to get rid of either - you coul experiment with gaussian blur in a post pro app

Like Eoin says...the fog banding is a pain in the a$$...gaussian blur will help a bit.

The fog banding is a known bug in the haze rendering system. It is the result of certain haze densities and half-heights, as well as the camera angle. Without changing your scene it is very difficult to fix within Terragen. Accuracy settings for the atmosphere will affect it but generally do not eliminate it, or even make it much better. Post processing is probably your best option.

Excellent, pov, colours and use of haze.

POV, canyon and mist are just plain AWEsome; the banding isn't really obvious and certainly doesn't detract for me. And the surface is beautiful and excellent. Very impressive work.
