The Salem Witchcraft Trials of 1692 It is October 30th, all hallo's eve, the time is 1692...the place is Salem, Massachusetts. It is at the height of the witch trials here. While one man tries to stop the hunts, another man insists that the hunt goes on. It is a dark time for no one and everyone. All it takes is someone's accusation someone to be targeted as a witch. In the outskirts of the little town, deep in the woods tonight three true witches are drawn to a desolate area. For they have not a clue why, how, or who the others are except that they must find this place of power tonight. The clearing that they finally get to is dry and dead looking, surrounded by many trees, logs, and grass. It is surrounded by candles that look to be set in particular spots. While a circular board that has a pentacle carved into it sets before a wooden lecture stand. Then they see it. An ancient book of spells with a wand is on the stand tonight. They all have heard of this one book. It is a book that contains great power. It answers and obeys only to it's guardian while all others can not read from it. What they don't know about the book is how much power it really contains both good and evil. The book was created by an evil dark lord that once terrorized the world. Until, one good witch, was able to defeat him. This defeat came with a price. As she locked his soul and spirit into the book hers also went with it costing her own life as well. From that day forward, her sister witches took an oath, to protect the book and use it for good and to keep the evil which it contained at bay. Meanwhile, as the darkness of night falls upon the three witches, the candles suddenly light to illuminate the area. The three look around, but see or hear no one else. Yet, they can feel the magical power that surround them all. All three try to come up with ideas to explain why they are here. Where is the owner of the book? What is this place. What do we do? No one has a real clue. For it was the book calling to them, driving them to this place. The book is in search of a new master by the final stroke of midnight on that Halloween day. The eldest witch is the most powerful of the three, but not the smartest. While the youngest is the quietest and with more wisdom. The middle one is the most flamboyant, outspoken and likes to show off her tricks. They all came up with different spells to open the book. They tried spells to find someone hiding in the woods. They tried spells to make the book go away. Everything they tried wouldn't work, for the book has become pretty well protected over the centuries. Finally, one of them suggested a possibility, a spell to find its long lost master. While they all agreed upon this last spell uneasily. They were unsure of the right words to say. They had no idea of the power that they were about to unleash onto the world. With midnight soon approaching and the area lit up brightly, the three witches started there last chant.
