Description
This was lit with small flash lights, in almost total darkness, except for a small crack lit from a hallway door. Using bulb exposure, I flashed on and off where ever I thought would look good. I could only guess at how much light was needed for any given section. The flashlights had to be moving at all times, like dodging and burning in the dark room. Instant feed back from digital helped me with exposure, and the need to change my clothes to some dark Grey colors. I cloned out many flashes that showed up in the tea set.

you have practically perfected the "painting with light" technique in a big digital way! You must tell me what camera and settings you used, as most digital cams don't have a bulb setting, let alone allow you to view as you go with an open shutter!
Georgy
Well you can't view while the shutter is open.Only after the shot.Telling you what exposure would not help you.It is how long you leave the flash lights on your chosen area.I have the canon EOS-1 D Mark II. You just have to play intill you get what you want. You will know if you have left the flash light on to long. When you review your image.I hope this helps.
