Description

Perhaps I should have posted this before Halloween. I don't normally like to have obvious flash in outdoor nature pictures, but by the time we went all that way to get to this spot, it was dusk and I wasn't leaving without taking some shots, regardless!

Wonderful image, and the flash I think only accentuates the maze of branches and their beauty.. great shot!

Fantastic, the flash makes it. I love the way you nevertheless allowed the exposure to capture the sky.

Oh I love this tree!! In most cercumstances I would have to agree with you on the flash concept but I really think the flash brought out this trees charm. It is a pitty you didnt get it before Halloween it looks so ghostly.

Can't help noting that I think it's a bristlecone pine. Bristlecone pines sometimes live thousands of years, and comprise the oldest trees in the world.
