Andreas...try putting a rubber band tightly around the filter to get more grip...or just use a hammer! Ah, thorns...just like the thorns of love, sharp and painful but worth it because of the beauty of the rose.

I don't have any ideas on how to unscrew a filter that's stuck but if you have any trouble with a champagne bottle, don't be afraid to ask me. Love your thorn capture. Not easy trying to push the rest of the thorns away to capture this one. Excellent. Aloha

super image my friend! :-) and one of two methods work for me: 1) try to tighten it first. not a lot of pressure but enough to say you tightened it. then attempt to unscrew it at that point. it sounds weird but it works. (breaks the "seal" that's been created.) 2) put them in the refigerator for an hour or so. the metal will contract enough that you should be able to unscrew them at that point. yeah, yeah...now it's me with the bla, bla, bla! lol but after 40 years of shooting...i've had to learn the hard way about this stuff. lol

Very close and very sharp! Wouldn't want to get accidently run into that..I use a circular polarizer now and then and I try not to screw it on too tight as I know they stick. If worse come to worse you can buy a wrench for it here: http://porters.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=F2M. Might come in handy later...a good day to you! Aloha!

Into the fridge - darn good idea, I've a filter that seems grown into the rubber lens cap. Also the cu of the thorn looks pretty cool.

Good tips already given (know the feeling) - sometimes not pressing but just slight rotating might work. Wonderful work, it's like life, your shots are wonderful but hard things like unremovable filters happen just as roses are beautiful and thorns are still there.... :)

Definitely not as good as ur first thorn shot but still a great shot!!! To outdid that first one will be quite tough I believe since it was totally perfect!! I like this one though, despite the "messy" background". The dof is very good and I love the "washed out" colors!

Excellent Macro Andreas, The key to unscrewing filters is not to over tighten in the first place,LOL. Blessed Be
