Description

This isn't really a test of provocative thumbnails... it is to see if viewers prefer realistically colored rock images to glowy or more playful ones. Same basic photo as Fire in the Hole (last in my gallery), cleaned up, adjusted, and just barely cropped. I think the other is the better image. What I see as an artist or photographer may not match what comes out of a camera... so I can but try to bring it closer to my personal view. This is all a matter of perception and expectation... electro-magnetic energy converted by our brain into an identifiable signal. If we were insects or cats, our visual range would be different. If we could sense warmth or magnetism, what would we "see"? As humans, we are pleased with the real world, but how *real* is it? Is the expected image more real just because it is more familiar? Comments and comparisons are welcome, of course.

Interesting rock formation. The bottom left rock looks like a rabbit. Excellent Job. Aloha
