Description
I actually took this picture myself. Unfortunately there isn't a self-portraits genre.
I first changed the mode to grey scale, then back to RBG, then used magnetic lasso to pick the corneas of the eyes and colourise them, using hue/saturation. I did the same thing with the earring. I then cut out the head and torso and pasted it into a new image with a black background. That, of course, is if I browsed the right picture on my PC!

Nicely manipulated! If I wanted the background to mix with the character would I be able to blur the edges? If so what program could I do that with?

nicely done!! yes, soften the edges & up the contrast a bit would be my only suggestions :]
