You run into a lot of people that say they are lonely. Maybe they are just bored, and need something to do. Lonely is a subjective word, it can mean many things. Alone, Lonesome, Solitary, even unfrequented. Depending on how it is used it can also mean, Dejected, all the way to Unsocial. This is the East Coast of Greenland. Owned by Denmark. It is the largest Island in the world. It is also the least populated. This is the place where you can be buried in ice up to 30 ft a year. You can go your whole life without seeing another person or animal. Expeditions have been lost here and never found. But you wonder why they came, if there is nothing. Wooden Ships from 300 years ago have been found encased in ice. Some were trying to find the NorthWest Passage. Some were just lost in the winds and fog. Here is where you have nothing to do but try to survive. Here you will be bored. Here you will appreciate, what you once had. This is Lonely.
