Description

"I am the Lorax, I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues." --Dr. Suess

Here is another photo of the windswept trees just off Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. As you may well have noticed, my St. Augustine series has taken a side track while I explore the surreal landscape of this wild part of Florida. Believe it or not, I took these photos with the intention of taking them back to my computer and transforming them into the infrared images I have been sharing with you. This largely wild and untouched area was a joy to see after miles and miles of condos and McMansions along the coast. The sand dunes in this area are huge and cover in natural vegetation. They have not yet been plowed down by developers looking to make a buck off the masses of humanity that continue to move into this state. Read some more about Ponte Vedra Beach at GORP. ----- Thanks for stopping by and for your gnarled comments on yesterday's photo, Twisted Trees I.

----- Olympus C8080WZ & PhotoshopCS. Postwork in Photoshop creates the infrared effect. The normal IR graineyness was removed from this image. (452)

As long as city officials continue to disregard the need for ballance between nature and humans, such lands as your photographing have their days numbered.
