Description

Calbie. Yet again. This is the last image I'll make out of this project, at least for the moment. I spent so many hours building it, and was determined to milk it for what it's worth, but now I'm fed up with it. The damn thing takes half an hour just to load, this is ridiculous. The stars were added with Photoshop, as Bryce's starfield somewhat blows. The slightest amount of haze and they're gone, you don't see them anymore. Now I know why noone ever does night scenes. Normally, you should be able to make out the details, up to the far walls and the fields beyond. If all you can see are a couple of orange blots, then either your screen is too dark or mine's too bright.

Wow! I downloaded the dark image and put it into my puny photo-edit program, hit auto fix. Then the town fairly jumped out of the screen. All those roofs! They took dedication. Yeah, just a few orange blobs, which I took to be lanterns, and the top border of stars showed up at first blush. Dick

This is a really cool image! Your lighting is just fine! My monitor is very carefully calibrated to match output set to pre-press specifications, and the image looks great! Just the right amount of detail - killer render!
