Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

I wonder if the people that lives there realize that they have an incredible vista. so often the locals do not give the beauty around them a second thought. it takes someone like you to capture it

What a CHARMING capture, Jan-Carel!!! Mmmmmmm, if i was still painting, i would ask you if i could paint this one!!!! Such a fabulous composition and just a GORGEOUS scene! i find the yellow tree-tops in foreground to be a bit distracting from the overall image, but i'm not sure that there's anything that you could have done about that. this one would make a wonderful postcard too!! Excellent shooting Jan-Carel!!! i love how you show the movement of the clouds/fog uncovering this gorgeous village!!! :)
