Not a great shot but it was too funny to pass on... Reminds me of the Vlassic pickle commercials with the stork holding the pickle like a cigar... I know, some of you not in the USA may not have seen this commercial but it's still an amusing shot. So... time to reveal! The seagull shots were taken from the third deck of a fishing boat off the coast of Sheeps Head Bay in Brooklyn... As we were fishing in the ocean we would move from spot to spot and the gulls along with other scavengers would follow along. At one point there were over thirty birds of different kinds flying along side. As I stood on the top deck the gulls would fly right beside me and at times I felt I was soaring along with them. I took over 200 shots of them flying around me. It was exhilarating to say the least Every once in a while someone would throw a baitfish in the air and they would swoop to catch it in mid-air. I tried to get a shot of that but to no avail... At one point, without thinking, someone at the rear of the boat (aft) threw a cigar overboard... I heard a commotion from the others and spun around to see what was going on I and caught these shots.
