Description

"Children have neither past nor future; and that which seldom happens to us, they rejoice in the present." "Les enfants n'ont ni passe ni avenir; et, ce qui ne nous arrive guere, ils jouissent du present." - Jean de la Bruyere, Les Caracteres (XI) Hi everyone! This is the same happy little boy I saw that day in my pic,"Through A Glass Darkly".I don't really like to post closely related images but this one appealed to me so I thought I would overlook my self-imposed rule, today.I hope you like it. I want to thank those of you that took the trouble to comment on my last upload, which was a pic of a bride and groom.I really appreciated all your helpful suggestions. After much consideration,I have removed it from my gallery.Hopefully now I can improve it and be satisfied with it.I asked for your opinions and/or suggestions and I'm very happy you gave it!Thank you. :) Thanks for looking!!! Have a wonderful week everyone! Hugs, Marlene

Arent we sofisticated enough i wonder...bla bla bla... This shot is absolutely gorgeous Marlene. Its one of those rare shots that actually speak more than a thousand words. And you cropped and framed it just PERFECTLY!!! Very well done indeed!!!!!!! Have a wonderful evening. #:O)

What child hasn't been entertained for hours simply playing with a stick - stirring mud, herding an insect, making believe it was a magic wand? It's nice sometimes to have the "little" memories brought back. Wonderfully evocative!

When I look a this pic I wonder what is going through the child's mind if anything..maybe he's daydreaming, or scheming how to take over the world. LOL..Marlene, this is a great shot and well presented..

The love of a child in his Innocence, in his every essence of Inquizative thoughts. This Image reminds me of my son at this age. I have a simular image of him in this pose. Thanks for the reminder! and the memorie. Nicely captured

How simple joys fascinate children sad that we lose that as we get older and life gets in the way. Superb atmosphere Marlene, a little treasure. V* Lina

You capture that almost suspended in time feeling that you get as a child when you become so absorbed in a simple act you notice nothing else. Very lovely, Marlene. I hope you put the bride image back after you work on it.

It's that 'be here now' of the child that the artist works so hard on just to see. This certainly recalls that moment of concentration - very well done.

First Marlene, your capture is just PERFECT!!!! I LOVE it!!!!! Secondly...rejoicing in the present is very much how i try to live my life. living in the moment, enjoying every second. sometimes i don't do so well at that, but here lately i do pretty good! No suggestions for improvement on this one. You caught the moment just right! It's one of those images i can look at and just keep staring, getting lost in time! This image is timeless! This one and the other...print them, frame, them and hang them!!!! They show us more than anything else to just enjoy the moments of life!!! What a treasure! A++++++++
