Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Inveniens Occultum Lapidem
" Visit the interior of the purified Earth to find the hidden stone. " -- Alchemical Doctrine
Rendered and created in Bryce 5 with minor post-work in Adobe Photoshop 7. I'm still relatively new with the 3D scene, so I'm always looking for constructive criticism.
The image you see here is primarily a product of tutorial reading and the exploration of Bryce's features. Thanks for viewing.

Cool image, I've only got one minor gripe. To a few Bryce veterans, the rock texture you've got set on the cliff is going to be very easily recognizeable, try creating your own proceedural textures. It gets pretty fun, actually! Still an excellent image, the best one I've seen so far today.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, I'm trying to shy away from the many default settings in the program slowly but surely. Thanks again. ;D

Very good image, the occult description fits perfectly with the concept of the picture. Very good color choice, too - and the effect at the bootom of the rocks is great!

I agree with MoonGoat on the texture. However, this could easily be tweaked by upping your bump and stretching or shrinking your texture in the Material Lab. There's a ton of free textures here at Renderosity, of course. Photographic textures are always good for natural landscapes as well. Great job for your first Bryce post though!! Looking forward to seeing some more work from you. Keep it up!!

You already have a great imagination and sense of camera, lightning, the rest will sure follow quickly

I like that stone and light work. That looks very very terrific, just splendid. The stone is not all flat and too much AA, its just perfect, it matches the sky and light work. The water same, very nice rattle in the water effects, very very well done. I like this one very much. Well well done indeed.
