Description

I painted this to get the feel of painting again. i painted a lot from 1970 to 1975. then I got marry and had children. Plus my house burn down with a lot of my painting gone up in smoke. I had this one painting with Pogo in a boat with his frind the gaor rowing the boat with a gidtor[lol misspelled a interment you play] love that painting but burn up lol so I just getting the hang of painting again Not much prograss I paint a painting every three months not much time still lol thanks for comments and looking at this painting done on canves and acrylic I will get better I so loosen up soon on the painting I need to paing bigger like 6 feet by 8 feet [no room for this size in my house lol but I would like to try it ] this one is 16x20 inches

really cool work jock i am sorry to hear your house burned down.. i have lost two households of things all my treasures too !!!! all my paintings were sold off to people who do not know me... when i was getting divorced it was all sold by my x -i wonder where they are..sigh.. i know the feeling.. hug good to see you picking it up again !

Oh sad when you lose your work, I have lost lots of mine in floods, so I know how it feels, I like your style Jocko, and I wonder just where you would put such a big one, if you painted it,? Keep on paintin. Eccellent Lina

It is sort of like taking custody for the wind to look at how a tall tree stands straight up from the horizon and then build a windmill to use more than one of those right angles not ever parallel. Canvas has a feel. When it is put to a gear it is called "tooth." Oh! sorry that is about paper!

This looks kind of abstract to me Jock. I like the cool colors against the earthy background. There is one thing about being a painter, it's all in your head! 8-)

I was in the same boat. I had a internationally known artist teaching me for free in exchange for sweeping her studio once a week. my ex wife kept saying that something was going on between me and her. well when I was in my 20's, I had no interest in a 50 year old woman so I quit going there to shut the racket off. now a 50 year old women looks pretty dang good to me, as of fact 60's look good!!

beautifull color & impressive sens of space & material... looks like a macro of the canves ( it makes this peace of painting artwork looks bigger than 10/10 feets ;) thks, wonderfull peace.
