Modelled in Lightwave 8.3 and renderes using Maxwell renderer. Its my first render using this render engine.

beautiful stone...though that must be one HUGE ring considering the size realtionship to the wood 2x4's ;-) what about some more fitting setting...like red velvet?

I agree with "petes about the setting, even a reflective white base would enhance the stone's reflection adn the light spilling out of the stone onto the surface would be more visable. Great render and modeling. The stone really looks nice, but one question, is that a "comfort fit" shank? I think it should look rounder on the inside part of the ring, just a thought

the render took about 2 hours and about the scene, my idea was represent the real live, and no a pic for a magazine to shell jewellery...XD.Thanks for the comments guys
