Description

Photograph made with my Nikon D70S and a Tamron lens 18-200 mm. Postwork with Nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 (for the double colors) and frame with Photoshop 7

That's another shot in the ruins of the Villers Abbey. And another try with colors... other tones too. This is the most important part of the Abbay, with an open sky... It's a very impressive place, and an enormous Abbey. I could imagine what it was when it was entire ! There's a very strange atmosphere in this place, something peaceful. Have you seen Michel (GiMi53) on this shot ? look better, you'll find him... he was shooting too of course !!!! On the other side of the Abbey. Thank you again Michel, for this wonderful photo trip !!! You can read more about this Cistercian Abbey on his own website : Villers Abbey

Thank you for all your kind comments on my last post of this beautiful Abbey : "Villers Abbey II" If you want to see the last photography post in Giancarlo's gallery, just click here : Old Farm in Emilia And always the last upgrade of our Website here : the first gallery of HORSES, a reportage made in 2003 with Giancarlo, about our young friend Morgane and her horses... Home Page of Giancarlo Lucerni and Nathalie Masson Have a great Friday ! Nathalie, and always close to me, Giancarlo

Awesome structure. Bold shot. It took a while for me to appreciate the stark lighting and tones. My first impulse was to wish it were soft and dreamy but after looking at it for some time, i began to come around to this look. It adds to the geometric tension and stonework details. 2nd looks are worth the effort!

Barvo!
