Biography Matthew Philip Stricker
I was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1975. I discovered airbrushing through my father at age five who tooled it for model airplanes. I began self taught techniques at age thirteen on t-shirts, while creating random sketching books on different subjects. Being a comic book collector I had passions in this field, but having troubles with anatomy and being truly inspired by the heavens and space- mainly nebulas- I began to seriously focus in 1993 on self taught techniques for photo realism Astronomical Art, using acrylic brush and airbrush on canvas.
In 1995 Kim Poor of Nova Space Galleries in Tucson, AZ consigned my beginning work. To this date Kim and the entire representing Nova Space gallery artist are a major inspiration to my work. Throughout that time I discovered another natural talent in cooking, and in 1998 I pursued a culinary job in Austin, TX. Continuing my fine art paintings, The Austin Museum of Art consigned my abstract work through 1999 until 2000. In the spring of 2001 my culinary career moved me to Arlington, TX were I held managing titles in the industry. It was at this time that I met a computer programmer who introduced me to digital art, and I immediately invested in a computer and some mainstream applications, such as Bryce, 3D Max, and Photo Shop. I was overwhelmed by this medium, which led to the idea of a gallery website.
Again using my self teaching skills, I slowly started to build a surplus of digital artwork, and in July of 2002 , I became the owner and co-founder of Visible Sounds.com (digital and fine art P.C. wallpaper). I encountered difficulties in the opening stages of web development and frustrations grew. In August 2002 I returned to Arizona, where I continued culinary work full time, and Hurst Web Development, stationed in Phoenix took over the Visible Sounds.com project. After some soul searching and retaining my faith, I realized I had to focus on the artwork instead of the web development agendas.
In June 2005 Visible Sounds.com fully launched with 35 images, and is updated every month. Currently, I'm a Artist member with the International Association of Astronomical Artists ( IAAA ). Bryce, Mojo, and Vue are my main generators used. Painter, and PhotoShop are also primary apps. In my work. Fulltime is spent promoting Visible Sounds.com, creating a back stock of canvas paintings, and continuing my work in culinary arts. I feel very blessed to be a self taught artist and chef and Im eternally inspired by the wonders of God.

nice point of view, and i like the lens flare effect too. my only prob would be the symmetry.i like a degree of symmetry, it makes for a balanced image, but when used here it is identical e.g both sides of the picture are like a mirror image, although that maybe what you are going for.
