Nice mapping there! Very good texture. There are two minor things I don't think most would notice but, the prodecural texture seems to be giving too much of a grain, instead of natural facial bumps. It probably makes next to no difference from a standard distance, but closer up it becomes more apparent. Secondly the eyes seem a little watery and too reflective, agian not something that matters from a standard distance. Still, better then anything I could do. :)

looking really good!! crits: teh corners of the mouth look a bit sharp, the eyes are too reflective...and smooth. The textures arpound teh eyes and mouth arer killer!! but the cheeks and nose look a bit soft w/ texture. also the nostrils look a bit soft on geometry. But really...this looks great!!! NIce work!!! ...and th ecrits are only my opinion ;-)

Hi J, Remember the human eye is not a perfect round orb. The cornea is a convex shaped bump that sits over the iris and the pupil. At a distance this is not visibel but when you get in close, you can see it. Skyfox has a good comment on the reflectivity and sheen on the surface. We loose too much in the eye detail because of it. Second, this guy has a great skin for a boxer, perfect as a matter of fact. Only super models have skin so perfect. Some blemishing or other imperfections in the skin would go miles in giving the character more character. Personally I would not sweat the procedeural issue too much, such things can be corrected for in post. Let me ask a simple question, What do you envision to be your final goal for such objects? If it is for stills, then a camera and a willing model is far more economical in terms of time and effort. If it is for a animated sequence, then such fine details will never be seen as the character is in motion and the human eye can not focus on such fine detail while it is in motion, so for that application it is over kill. If it is for your own fulfillment? Well then knock your self out.
