Description

This was an entry to a contest and represents something that I wouldn't normally do. Sometimes it's fun to try something different and it wound up being something I liked a lot. Beautiful atmosphere, very good lighting and poses, and that cat really gave me a good giggle - it's exactly what my own cat does when it encounters cloth flapping in the air! I love what you did with those candle flames. Excellent!

Well I like the cat, but some "fluffing" its fur does wonders. You can do it with a smear brush and quite a lot of work. But it will make the fur look furry. And one of the problems with Poser is the artificial look. Not necessarily plastic-y, but still somehow not real. It's not even always something specific, just an overall feeling. There's something about the shadows that is off. The lighst on the table doesn't cast any shadow and the Matador's shadow is coming from the opposite direction (and IMO it's too blurry but that's more because I adore sharp, raytraced shadows) If you have Poser 6, you could put a point light right above the candlelights, with Raytraced shadows. I've found that a good way of getting realistic candlelights. The touch with the flames is great and the lantern in the back is lovely, great shadows on that one.
