Description
The Netherlands are the land of windmills, cows, polders, wooden shoes and water only ...!!.... WRONG...there is so much more than that. Did you know our country has his own deserts. I know.. they are very small compared with the ones in your country, but we have our deserts too. Sand, sand dunes, little vegetation and trees covered with lots of sand and fighting against it to stay alive.
This image shows what our desert looks like. When I saw this picture, I realized you could be mistaken by the size of the sand dunes.. in this case they are less than one feet high I think.. some dunes rise up to 60 feet however.

Impressive capture of these sands (live actually close to one of them)! What sand is this, one on the Veluwe, Noord-Brabant or the coastline? Excellent work, love the contrast with the sky!
