Tried getting a backlit effect. In nature, when the conditions are just right, it's stunning.

You got the effect. Great job. I'd try a different sky, but the rest is great.

If I may make a suggestion, the waves look so realistic that the sky kind of stands out to me. You could perhaps use volumetric clouds (it drastically increases render times, but is well worth it) or photographic skies to produce a more realistic effect. Otherwise, very impressive.
