Description

This is one of the largest butterflies in the world. It's wings are about the same size of my hands (doesn't really say anything unless you've seen my hands I guess :p) and the pattern on them is used to scare off the ememies. In the opposite to most butterflies, these are not the kind that will fly away if you approach them. And the size of them makes it rather unpleasant when they're flying around you ;) This piccie was taken at the Tropical Butterfly House outside Sheffield, Yorkshire. It's one of my favorite spots around here and they have everything from exotic butterflies to charming goats :p And thanks for your comments on all of my piccies before this one :)

checks her butt Ummm...yeah, it's big enuf...lol And you're right, Andreas...it's not much of a macro really. If I'd use the macro on this one the pattern on the wings would've filled the image completely. And it's about the same size as a small bat...that's correct :p
