Introduction Shinkae are predatory carnivores feared by all the races of Sarodor. They hunt in small packs, also known as raids or troupes, and are notable for their ferocity in combat as well as their fearsome appetite. Their diet consists mainly of herbivores such as cows, sheep and horses, but attacks on orcs and humans are frequent. Physical Characteristics Shinkae resemble young, winged human females, and have long, pointed ears that aid in their hunt for prey. Their wings take on a variety of shapes and colours - often butterfly-like in appearance - and allow them highly-maneuverable, graceful flight at speeds of up to 80kph. The Shinkae age slowly, usually looking no older than human teenagers toward the end of their 350-year lifespan. They also possess strength that belies their small, youthful frames, and while feeding can retract their human-like teeth into their gums to expose an inner row of small, razor sharp fangs designed specifically for tearing flesh from bone.
